NBC's "Chuck" and the recently relaunched "Law & Order: Los Angeles" continued to experience a ratings climb on Monday, while the performance episode of "Dancing With the Stars" on ABC had a slight dip but still snagged the evening's top spot, according to preliminary numbers.

NBC's evening of welcome news began at 8, with "Chuck" receiving an 8 percent uptick in the adults 18-49 demographic over the last original airing on April 18, with a 1.4 rating/4 share and 4.1 million total viewers. "The Event" the following hour was flat with last week's showing, posting a 1.3/3 in the demo with 4 million total viewers, followed by "Law & Order: LA" at 10, which experienced 8 percent growth in the demo with a 1.4/4 — building on last week's 18 percent gain — and 4.8 million total viewers.
"Dancing With the Stars" at 8, to no one's surprise, had the evening's best numbers, earning a 4.4/12 in the demo, and 20.8 million total viewers. "Castle" at 10 had a 2.9/7 and 12.2 million total viewers — tied for second in the ratings with Fox's "House."
Fox's evening began at 8 with "House," which garnered a 2.9/8 and 8.4 million total viewers. "The Chicago Code" at 9 had a 1.6/4 and 5.5 million total viewers.
CBS's Monday ratings were a mixed bag, with gains early in the evening and losses — including two series lows — toward the end. "How I Met Your Mother" at 8 was up 8 percent compared to the last original episode on April 18 with a 2.7/8 in the demo and 6.7 million total viewers. "Mad Love" was up 10 percent over last week at 8:30, scoring a 2.2/6 in the demo and 5.7 million total viewers. A "Two and a Half Men" repeat at 9 took a 2.2/6 in the demo and 7.6 million total viewers, while 9:30's "Mike & Molly" suffered a 12 percent drop from the last original airing on April 18 — and a series low — with a 2.3/6 in the demo and 8 million total viewers.
The network's evening closed at 10 with "Hawaii 5-0," which also returned to original episodes after a repeat last week. It was down from 14 percent from its last new episode on April 18 and had a a 2.4/6 in the demo and 9.3 million total viewers, a series low.
