Fox’s Tuesday night slate suffered in the ratings, with “Grandfathered,” “The Grinder” and “Scream Queens” all suffering losses in both total viewers and the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic.
John Stamos-led “Grandfathered” dropped 26 percent to a 1.1 rating/4 share and 3.8 million viewers, down from a 1.5 /5 and 5.3 million viewers during its premiere last week, according to Nielsen estimates. Rob Lowe‘s “The Grinder” netted only a 1.0/3 and 3.1 million viewers, down 33 percent from a 1.5/5 and 4.9 million viewers.
“Scream Queens” continued to slide in live-plus-same-day ratings, clocking in at only 1.1/4 and 2.9 million viewers, down 21 percent from last week when it scored just a 1.4/5 and 3.6 million viewers.
CW’s season premiere of “The Flash” did well upon its return, getting a 1.4/5 and 3.4 million viewers, down slightly from last season’s finale, which drew 3.9 million viewers and a 1.4/5. The second season premiere of “iZombie” also held steady, turning in a 0.7/2 and 1.7 million viewers, making it about even with the first season finale.
CBS tied for first in the key demo with NBC with a 1.9/6, but CBS was ahead in total viewers with 13.4 million. “NCIS” led things off at 8 p.m., scoring a 2.1/7 and 16.6 million viewers. “NCIS: New Orleans” followed at 9, delivering a 1.7/5 and just under 14 million viewers. “Limitless” held steady at 10, turning in a 1.7/6 and 9.6 million viewers.
NBC was second in total viewers with 7.4 million. “The Voice” scored a 2.2/7 and 8.7 million viewers from 8 p.m. to 10. “Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris” hit a new low this week, dropping 32 percent to a 1.3/4 and 4.7 million viewers.
ABC came in third with a 1.4/5 and 4.1 million viewers. “The Muppets” was down 20 percent from last week, netting a 1.6/6 and 4.8 million viewers. “Fresh Off the Boat” was up slightly at 8:30, getting a 1.8/6 and 4.9 million viewers. “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” was also down at 9, scoring a 1.6/5 and 4.3 million viewers. A repeat of “Quantico” followed at 10.
Fox and The CW tied for fourth in the key demo with a 1.1/4, but Fox was ahead in total viewers with 3.2 million. “Grandfathered” aired at 8 p.m., “The Grinder” at 8:30, and “Scream Queens” at 9.
The CW came in fifth in total viewers with 2.6 million. “The Flash” aired at 8 p.m. followed by “iZombie” at 9.
Univision came in sixth with a 0.8/3 and 2.2 million viewers.
Telemundo finished seventh with a 0.6/2 and 1.5 million viewers.
