Ratings: Fox Wins With Gordon Ramsay

NBC, ABC and CBS share a three-way tie for second in key demo

Fox won Monday night overall on the strength of Gordon Ramsay's "Hotel Hell" and "Hell's Kitchen," while NBC, CBS and ABC tied for second, according to preliminary numbers.

Fox earned a decisive win in the advertiser-cherished 18-40 demographic with a 2.3 rating/6 share, and in total viewers with 5.7 million. "Hotel Hell" at 8 p.m. inched up from last week's series premiere, posting a 2.0/6 in the demo and drawing 5.2 million total viewers. "Hell's Kitchen" the following hour was down slightly from last week, but nonetheless was the night's highest-rated program with a 2.5/7. It also was the most-watched show, with 6.2 million total viewers.

CBS, like ABC and NBC, averaged a 1.3/4 in the demo and took second place outright in total viewers with 5 million. The network ran repeats throughout the night.

NBC took third in total viewers with 4.4 million, seeing downturns for its original programs Monday night. Following an "America's Got Talent" repeat at 8, "Stars Earned Stripes" dropped an additional 35 percent from its soft series debut last week, posting a 1.1/3 and drawing 3.5 million total viewers. "Grimm" was likewise down, slipping 20 percent from last week's season debut with a 1.6/5 and receiving 4.9 million total viewers.

ABC came in fourth in total viewers with 4.1 million. The network saw boosts with its slate Monday night, though the preliminary numbers are inflated due to local NFL pre-season preemptions. As it stands now, "Bachelor Pad" at 8 was up 25 percent in the demo with a 1.5/4 and received 4.8 million total viewers. "The Glass House" at 10 jumped 29 percent for a 0.9/3 and drew 2.8 million total viewers.
