Ratings: Fox Cartoons Beat ‘Big Brother’

And a pair of new ABC shows scored all-time low numbers

Fox's cartoon lineup edged another strong showing from CBS' "Big Brother" for a Sunday night ratings win.

ABC was in fourth place, dead last behind all of the other major broadcast network with its new shows "Scoundrels" and "The Gates" both posting all-time low numbers.

FAMILY FEUD "Family Guy" got Fox its best ratings on Sunday night, two episodes of the dysfunctional, animated sitcom averaged a 2.1 rating/6 share in the key adults 18-49 demographic from 9-10 p.m. Overall, Fox averaged 1.5/5 from 7-10 p.m. with repeats of "American Dad," "The Simpsons" and "The Cleveland Show."

BROTHERLY LOVE CBS was Sunday night's number two primetime network with a 1.3/4 average from 7-11 p.m. Reality show "Big Brother" was the network's top show, scoring 2.3/8 from 8-9 p.m. "Big Brother was down four percent from last week.

ROOKIE BLUES ABC's new shows "Scoundrels" and "The Gates," which both premiered in June, got their lowest ratings so far this summer on Sunday night. "Scoundrels" scored a 0.7/2, down 13 percent from last week. "The Gates" did ever-so-slightly better with a 0.9/3, down 10 percent from last week. Overall, ABC averaged 1.0/3, on tenth of a point behind third place NBC, which scored a 1.1/4 average with re-runs of "Law & Order Criminal Intent" and "America's Got Talent."
