ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" boosted a special Monday-night airing of romantic sitcom "Better With You" in a major way, according to overnight ratings data.
Moved to Monday at 9:30 p.m. from its usual Wednesday 8:30 time period, where it follows "The Middle," the new comedy series from former "Friends" producer Shana Goldberg-Meehan scored a 2.6 rating/6 share in the 18-49 demo, a 63 percent bump from its performance last week.
"Dancing With the Stars" at 8 p.m. was marked by Karina Smirnoff's unfortunate tumble, but there were no such trip-ups where the ratings were concerned
The 90-minute performance episode experienced a 15 percent boost in the adults 18-49 demo from last week, with a 4.5 /13 share and 21.8 million total viewers.
The network — which easily won the night — closed out the evening with a repeat of "Castle," which took a 1.6/4 in the demo and 7.6 million total viewers.

NBC received some good news with Monday night's ratings.
A "Chuck" repeat at 8 p.m. garnered a 0.9/3 in the demo and 2.8 million total viewers, while a new episode of "The Event" the following hour grabbed a 1.3/3 in the demo and 4.4 million total viewers, an 18 percent ratings improvement over the previous week's performance.
The recently relaunched "Law & Order: Los Angeles" likewise received an 18 percent boost in the ratings over last week, with a 1.3/3 in the demo and 5.7 million total viewers.
CBS' primetime roster consisted mostly of repeats, with the lone exception being "Mad Love" at 8:30, which performed flat in the key demo from the previous week with a 2.0/5 and 5.5 million total viewers.
Fox ran repeats on Monday night, with a "House" rerun at 8 drawing a 1.5/4 in the demo and 4.8 million total viewers, while a previously aired "The Chicago Code" the following hour took a 1.0/3 in the demo and 4.1 million total viewers.
