Ratings: ‘Bachelorette’ Ends on a High Note

The sixth season finale of “The Bachelorette” won its time slot for the ninth week in a row leading ABC to its best Monday night ratings in over a decade

"The Bachelorette," an unstoppable ratings powerhouse for ABC this summer, saw its highest-rated finale since 2004 on Monday night, and won its time slot for the ninth straight week.

It was also ABC's ninth Monday night win in a row.

The final episode of "Bachelorette" season six scored a 3.7 rating/11 share in the key adults 18-49 demographic from 8-10 p.m. "Bachelorette" outperformed CBS, its closest competitor in the time slot, by 85 percent.

"Bachelorette's" finale was up six percent from the final episode last year.

A post-finale special, "Bachelorette: After the Final Rose," was also a ratings hit, posting a 3.8/11 from 10-11 p.m. Overall, ABC averaged a 3.7/11 primetime score from 8-11 p.m, the network's biggest Monday summer audience and highest non-sports performance among adults 18-49 since June, 26 2000, over ten years ago.

Thanks in no small part to "The Bachelorette," ABC was the most-watched network overall for the seventh week in a row last week. "Bachelorette's" strong start this week puts the network in a good position to make it eight straight wins.
