ABC’s “The Bachelor” spinoff “Bachelor in Paradise” slipped in its season finale from last week’s Monday episode, getting a demo 1.4 rating. But the number is even with last season’s “Bachelor in Paradise” finale.
NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” was down 24 percent from last week’s episode, but was still the highest-rated show of the night with a 1.6, and most watched, with 6.4 million total viewers.
CBS’ only new episode of the night was a preview of its fall shows, which scored a 1.0 rating, which was up two tenths from last year’s airing of the same special.
NBC was first with a 1.4 rating/4 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic. It came in second in total viewers with an average of 5 million, according to preliminary numbers. In addition to “American Ninja Warrior” at 8, the network aired a new episode of “Running Wild With Bear Grylls” at 9, which got a 1.0/3 and 3 million viewers.
ABC was second in ratings with a 1.1/4, and third in viewers with 4.3 million. After the “Bachelor in Paradise” finale, the series’ companion talk show “After Paradise” earned a 1.1/4 and was watched by 4 million total viewers.
CBS was third in ratings with a 0.9/3 but first in viewers with 5.2 million. CBS’ fall preview special was preceded by a repeat of “Big Bang Theory” and repeats of the network’s other sitcoms.
Univision was fourth in ratings with a 0.8/2 and fifth in viewers with 2.1 million.
Fox was fifth in ratings with a 1.2/4 and fourth in viewers with 2.6 million, with just one new episode of “So You Think You Can Dance.” The reality competition show got a 0.7/2 and 2.6 million total viewers.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.5 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 1.2 million with repeat airings of “America’s Next Top Model,” “Whose Line Is It Anyway” and “Significant Mother.”
