Ratings: Another Hot Night for ‘Hell’s Kitchen’

Fox scored its second straight Tuesday night ratings win with the cooking reality show

NBC reality show "America's Got Talent" was the top program on television Tuesday night, but Fox scored the highest average primetime audience with a two-hour episode of "Hell's Kitchen."

Gordon Ramsay's cooking competition had an average 3.1 rating/10 share in the key adults 18-49 demographic from 8-10 p.m. "Hell's Kitchen" gave Fox its second straight Tuesday night win.

WEAK LINK "Losing It With Jillian" kept NBC in second place despite its having the top show for the second week in a row on Tuesday. "America's Got Talent" scored a 3.4/10 from 9-11 p.m., but "Losing It With Jillian" kept the network's average down with a 1.2/4 from 8-9 p.m. NBC could have beaten Fox if it weren't for that pesky extra hour of primetime.

"Talent's" numbers were up 17 percent from the show's summer low last week, but "Jillian" was down 8 percent, tying its worst-ever numbers. Overall, NBC averaged a 2.7/8 for Tuesday night.

DOWNWARD SPIRAL ABC took third place Tuesday with a 1.8/5 from 8-11 p.m. The obstacle-course competition "Wipeout" scored a 2.9/10, up 12 percent from an off week last Tuesday. High-altitude game show "Downfall" continued to see its numbers slip with a 1.3/4, down 7 percent from last week when the show lost 20 percent of its audience.

LEFTOVERS Repeats have been good for CBS all summer, except on Tuesday nights. "NCIS," "NCIS LA" and "The Good Wife" averaged a 1.4/4 for the network on Tuesday putting CBS in fifth place behind all of the other major broadcast nets and Spanish-language broadcaster Univision for the third week in a row.
