'American Horror Story' scored some scary-good ratings last night.
The fourth episode of FX's new Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk drama hit a new series high Wednesday night, beating out its premiere in several demos, including the all-powerful adults 18-49 demographic.
In that demo, last night grew 12 percent over last week, with 2.2 million viewers, and 8 percent over the series premiere. The series also showed a strong gain among women 18-49, which grew 16 percent over last week.
Total viewership was also up versus last week, jumping to 3 million total viewers versus last week's 2.6 million.
It probably helped that the episode was preceded by the highly popular vampire drama "Twilight," particularly in female viewership, but still…
Interestingly, there's only one other FX drama that has managed to best its premiere numbers four weeks into its run: "Nip/Tuck." That was also a Murphy/Falchuk endeavor.
