Randall Park and Ali Wong are set to star in an untitled feature comedy they wrote with “Please Stand By” scribe Michael Golamco, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.
The comedy will follow two childhood friends who find themselves in different socioeconomic situations when they fall in love as adults.
Netflix is next trying to find a director to helm the feature film.
Park currently stars on “Fresh Off the Boat” and “Veep” and will next be seen in “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” He is represented by UTA, Principato-Young Entertainment and ID PR.
Wong currently stars on “American Housewife” and also served as the writer and consultant on “Fresh Off the Boat” with Park. She will next star in the upcoming Sam Elliott film “The Hero.” She is represented by UTA and 3 Arts Management.
Golamco served as the writer and story editor on the TV series “Grimm.” He was also the writer on “The Achievers” in 2006, in which Park starred. He is currently in post-production with his film, “Please Stand By,” which will star Dakota Fanning and Toni Collette. He is represented by Nuri Entertainment, Manage-ment and CAA.
