The time travelers of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” are getting some new companions for the upcoming fourth season, with “Blockers” breakout Ramona Young and “Back to the Future” star Tom Wilson joining the cast. The additions were announced Saturday during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel.
Young joins as new series regular Alaska Yu, described as a typical 20-something easily swept up by romantic notions and fantasy novels, who is an expert in the world of the magical creatures that the Legends encounter in Season 4. She soon learns to get her head out of the clouds to become a kickass superhero.
Wilson, meanwhile, will play the recurring role of Hank Heywood, father of the Legends team member Nate Heywood (Nick Zano,) aka “Steel.” With a lifetime in the military and Department of Defense, Hank is part of a long line of Heywoods to serve the country. Charming and charismatic, he’s left big shoes for Nate to fill — and it doesn’t help that Nate can’t tell him he’s secretly a Legend.
The new characters join the previously-announced Season 4 characters John Constantine (Matt Ryan), Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) and Nora Darhk (Courtney Ford).
Based on the characters from DC Comics, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Phil Klemmer, Keto Shimizu and Sarah Schechter. The fourth season premieres on Monday, October 22, at 9/8c on The CW.
