‘Pretty Little Liars’ 100th Episode Countdown: Ian Harding, Keegan Allen and Tyler Blackburn on New Character Dynamics (Video)

The series’ leading men tease upcoming episodes during a special “Drinking With the Stars” segment for TheWrap’s “7 Days of Truths – ‘Pretty Little Liars’ 100th Episode Countdown”

As ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” 100th episode show approaches, the leading men of the show — Ian Harding, Keegan Allan, and Tyler Blackburn — talk Alison’s return to Rosewood and how their characters have developed over last five seasons.

Through flashbacks, viewers have seen Alison as the Queen B reigning over her friends and bullying everyone in her path. Now Allison is back at Rosewood High and she’s more of a vulnerable victim than a villain.

“She has been the phantom of the show,” Allen said. “We’ve seen her in flashbacks and we’ve gotten a taste of what it was like to be around Alison when she was a dictator of that group of friends. In this season, we really get to see how that has effected her over time and what she really is running from.”

Fans who have been watching “PLL” since Season 1 will finally get closure as Alison’s return helps to put pieces the puzzle together.

Alison’s return has added a new dynamic to the show, and has allowed the guys’ characters to evolve even more as everything starts to come full circle for the cast.

“A lot of the old, original Caleb is back,” Blackburn confirmed. “He became a big softie but now he’s back to not giving a shit.”

As Ezra Fitz recovers from a gunshot to the stomach and his break-up with Aria, we see a new dynamic develop with Fitz and the rest of the main characters.

“His position in Rosewood is kind of shaky,” Harding explained. “Everything he had and has known has been shifted, so he’s trying to navigate that.”

The three men also revealed that the three of them have a very exciting scene together this season.

“It’s really exciting to play those levels to characters, we all have gone on journeys with our characters,” Allen said. “It’s like layers to an onion.”
