President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama kicked off the dancing at Monday's inaugural ball with a little help from Jennifer Hudson.
The Oscar-winning actress and recording star dazzled Washington D.C.'s powerful on Monday night with a sizzling, soulful rendition of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together."
It was a groovier selection than Beyonce Knowles' deeply romantic version of "At Last," which was the first inaugural dance song at the ceremonies in 2009. However, Hudson's full-throttle performance couldn't compete with the First Couple — camera's lingered on their slow dancing, flitting only briefly over Hudson's vocal pyrotechnics.
Hudson wasn't the only big-name performer at Monday's festivities.
