Starz released a first look at Season 2 of “Power” on Thursday, the premium network’s Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson-produced original drama.
The new trailer shows James “Ghost” St. Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick), who instead of going straight as he hoped, sinks deeper into the drug game in an attempt to save his New York City nightclub.
“Everything I put together, it was all gone in one night,” he says.
In addition to his troubles at the office, Ghost is in between a rock and a hard place with his wife Tasha (Naturi Naughton) and his other love, Angela (Lela Loren) — who is also an Assistant U.S. Attorney hot on the trail of his drug organization.
His problems are further compounded by business partner Tommy (Joseph Sikora), who loves the drug game and is quickly growing paranoid.
“You made a deal to sell me out,” he tells Ghost. “Angela’s a federal prosecutor, a goddamned United States attorney!”
Ghost’s former mentor Kanan (50 Cent), meanwhile, is fresh out of prison and bent on exacting his revenge. “If he would’ve been dead when I got out like we planned, we could run the whole ship,” he tells Tommy.
“Power,” created by Courtney Kemp Agboh and produced by 50 Cent, returns to Starz this Summer.
