‘SNL’ Alum Fred Armisen to Direct Kings of Leon Concert Livestream

On "Saturday Night Live" he channeled Prince — now he'll control Kings on Vevo and YouTube

The concert, performed in London, will be livestreamed on Vevo and YouTube as part of American Express's "Unstaged" series, which pairs bands with notable directors. Wernor Herzog directed a Killers performance, for example; Gary Oldman directed Jack White.

This won't be Armisen's first foray into music directing — he's an accomplished drummer and directed the video for The Helio Sequence's "Don't Look Away." In June, Armisen was confirmed to star in "Bad Santa" director Terry Zwigoff's upcoming untitled movie.
