Polanski Trying to Complete Film From Jail

Film’s co-writer Harris says director “can communicate” his wishes for “Ghost.”

Roman Polanski is putting the finishing touches on "The Ghost" from his Swiss jail cell to ensure it is completed in time for February’s Berlin Film Festival, according to collaborator Robert Harris.

Speaking Tuesday at the Cheltenham Literature festival, Harris, who co-wrote the screenplay from his novel of the same name, said the Oscar-winning director was able to make his wishes known despite being locked up in Switzerland.

Polanski had recently given instructions to the film’s composer, Alexandre Desplat.
"I don’t think he can make phone calls," Harris said. "But he can communicate."
