"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," the sequel to 2011's "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," will be released on Memorial Day 2014, while the as-yet untitled sequel to last year's "X-Men: First Class" will mutate onto the big screen on July 18, 2014, Fox said Thursday.
In addition, the big-screen adaptation of the television and stage show "Walking With Dinosaurs" and Steven Spielberg's "Robopocalypse" have had their release dates shifted, to Dec. 20, 2013, and April 25, 2014, respectively.

"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," which will star Ben Stiller and Kristin Wiig, has been given a Christmas 2013 release date. Stiller is directing and co-producing the film.
Fox also revealed Thursday that "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" will hit theaters Aug. 16, 2013, and an as-yet-untitled Sandra Bullock-Melissa McCarthy comedy, to be directed by Paul Feig of "Bridesmaids," has been slated for an April 5, 2013, release.

"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," out on May 23, 2014, finds Rupert Wyatt returning to the director's chair, and Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver returning to produce. Matthew Vaughn, who helmed "X-Men: First Class," is also back on board for the superhero sequel.
"Walking With Dinosaurs" was originally slated for an Oct. 11, 2013, release. "Robopocalypse" was initially to be released on July 3, 2013, a date that will now be occupied by the 3D release of the 1996 hit "Independence Day."
