Peter Jackson’s Guided Tour of the ‘Hobbit’ Set (Video)

Director takes fans deep inside his version of Middle Earth for a glimpse of his greatly anticipated fantasy epic

Peter Jackson seems determined to keep fans apprised on his progress on the upcoming big-screen adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit."

First, the director offered the world a sneak photographic glimpse of the "Hobbit" set. And now, continuing his policy of access for the Middle Earth crowd, Jackson has served up a 10-minute video tour of the set, delivering insight into everything from wardrobe, makeup, special effects and weaponry manufacture.

"The Hobbit," a two-parter that will star Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Cate Blanchett and "Sherlock" star Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, is currently filming. The first installment of the movie is currently slated for a December 19, 2012 release. In the meantime, enjoy Jackson's enticing behind-the-scenes look.
