Paula Froelich Named Editor of Yahoo Travel, Joining New Entertainment Chief Josh Wolk

Former Page Six editor joins Wolk at internet heavyweight

Former “Page Six” editor Paula Froelich will oversee Yahoo’s travel section, the internet platform said Monday, joining Josh Wolk, who was officially named executive editor of Yahoo Entertainment.

In addition to a decade spent as deputy editor of the New York Post’s gossip column,  Froelich is an award-winning journalist and the creator of the travel website A Broad Abroad. She also penned the best-selling novel, “Mercury in Retrograde.”

As TheWrap reported Saturday, Wolk is joining Yahoo from Vulture in the wake of Scott Robson’s exit. Robson had been editor in chief of Yahoo Entertainment.

Additionally, Sarah McColl, former managing editor of Yahoo Food, has been promoted to Editor in Chief of Yahoo Food.

Froelich and Wolk join a list of recent Yahoo hires that includes such prominent names as Katie Couric and former New York Times writers David Pogue and Matt Bai.
