Long before "Dinner for Schmucks" and three years before he got his big break on "Clueless," Paul Rudd was making a living as a bat and bar mitzvah singer in the San Fernando Valley. Happy for us and unhappily for Rudd's dignity, Jewish Daily Forward writer Gabrielle Birkner has unearthed video evidence of one of the actor's gigs.
Birkner hired the actor, who she describes as soft spoken, to lead her guests in challah cutting, limbo, candle blowing, and air guitar. Based on the fotoage she cut together, her family got its money worth. Get a load of his yellow suit, shorts, and Doc Martens.
