Directors Todd Phillips ("The Hangover"), Duncan Jones ("Moon") and Richard Linklater ("Dazed and Confused") and actors Paul Reubens (below), Jake Gyllenhaal, Ellen Page and Rainn Wilson will be among those showcased at panels and conference sessions at the 2011 South by Southwest Film Conference and Festival, SXSW organizers announced on Tuesday.
Other panels include a directing workshop from "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke, an Ain't It Cool News 15th anniversary panel, and discussions on financing and crowdsourcing, transmedia, the Hollywood guilds and piracy, along with panels entitled "Artistic Collaborations via Skype," "The Female Funny: Is It Different for Girls?" and "The Sexual Survival Guide for Geeks."
Most of the panels were proposed by the public and voted on in an online ballot last summer.
The conference schedule begins on Friday, March 11 and runs through Tuesday, March 15. The film festival itself runs through March 20 in Austin, Texas.
SXSW also put its entire schedule of screenings and panels online on Tuesday. The schedule is available at http://www.sxsw.com/film.
