Paul Feig shut down rumors that Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively are uncomfortable promoting “Another Simple Favor” together after a YouTuber shared a photo of the pair at SXSW.

In a post on X, Melanie King wrote that Lively was “terrified to walk the carpet” and Kendrick “never wants to work with [Lively] again.”

“Um… you’re wrong,” Feig replied.

It’s unclear why King sparked the rumor in the first place, though Lively’s bitter public feud with “It Ends With Us” might have given her some ideas. Kenrick and Lively are both at the film festival to promote “Another Simple Favor” after previously collaborating with Feig on “A Simple Favor.”

“Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick before they walk the red carpet at the sxsw Another Simple Favor premiere. I just reported on Blake being terrified to walk the carpet as Anna is pissed and never wants to work with her again,” King wrote.

The original “A Simple Favor” grossed over $100 million worldwide with a $20 million budget and a sequel for the 2018 comedy seemed inevitable.

“Another Simple Favor” is Feig’s third movie to open SXSW after the success of “Bridesmaids” and “Spy.” The festival description of the film reads, “Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.”

Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Alex Newell, with Henry Golding and Allison Janney also star.
