“Wonder Woman 1984” director Patty Jenkins has shared a new image to mark the one-year countdown until the release of the upcoming film.
“One… year… from… TODAY… #WW84,” Jenkins tweeted on Wednesday. The image shows star Gal Gadot clad in a shiny, gold outfit surrounded by streaks of neon colors. Of course, if you focus, you’ll be able to tell that the colors merge into a giant “W.”
Previously, Jenkins shared on Twitter that Warner Bros. would not be doing a Hall H presentation at Comic-Con this year, but she couldn’t wait to share this new, stunning image.
“Wonder Woman 1984” is set in the 1980s and will also feature Kristen Wiig as Dr. Barbara Minerva, also known as Cheetah. Chris Pine is reprising his role as Steve Trevor, and Pedro Pascal has been cast in the movie as well. The film brings back Jenkins as director and co-writer.
“Wonder Woman 1984” is set for release on June 5, 2020.
