Comedian Patton Oswalt and actress Meredith Salenger are engaged, the couple said on Twitter on Thursday.
In an odd twist, wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson also plays a part in the impending nuptials.
Johnson came into the mix after Salenger tweeted a joking photo with the caption, “I don’t wanna brag … but check out the size of The Rock on my finger!”
The manipulated image featured a photo of Oswalt and Salenger together, with Johnson Photoshopped on her hand.
“Haha that’s a big Rock. Tell that prick @pattonoswalt he still owes me. Happy 4 you guys. Congrats!” Johnson replied.
As Twitter delighted in noting, both Oswalt and Salenger have Disney ties: He voiced the lead character in 2007’s “Ratatouille” and she starred in 1985’s “The Journey of Natty Gan.” She tweeted a potential celebrity couple name: “#Nattatouille?”
Oswalt’s first wife, true-crime writer Michelle McNamara, died in April 2016 at age 46. They have a daughter, Alice.
In a less joking tweet, Salenger wrote, “It’s official. I’m the luckiest happiest girl in the universe!!!! I love you @pattonoswalt I love you Alice Oswalt!”
In February, Oswalt shed light on the circumstances of McNamara’s death, saying that the coroner’s office told him that McNamara died from a combination of prescription medications and a heart condition that had not been diagnosed.
