A24 has released the first trailer for Jeremy Saulnier’s siege thriller “Green Room,” which stars Patrick Stewart, Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots.
Stewart plays Darcy Banker, a diabolical club owner who squares off against an unsuspecting but resilient young punk band The Ain’t Rights — Yelchin, Alia Shawkat, Joe Cole and Callum Turner — in the backwoods of Oregon. Trapped backstage after witnessing an act of violence they weren’t meant to see, the band members prove themselves much more cunning and capable than anyone expected, turning the tables on their unsuspecting captors and setting the stage for the ultimate life-or-death showdown.
“Green Room” was produced by Neil Kopp, Victor Moyers and Anish Savjani. Saulnier’s “Blue Ruin” lead Macon Blair co-stars in the film alongside Mark Webber, Eric Edelstein and Kai Lennox.
A24 will release “Green Room” on April 15 in New York and Los Angeles before the film opens wide on April 29.
