As most streamers neglected to put much stock in their film libraries, one has stood out from the rest of the pack: Paramount+.

As the streaming wars hit a fever pitch over the last few years, the budgets for splashy originals expanded. To make room in the budget, streamers looked to cull their library of licensed titles. But, why license thousands of movies and shows from other studios when youโ€™re making your own hits? Streamers quickly learned that for every โ€œStranger Thingsโ€-sized smash, there were five โ€œCowboy Bebopโ€-sized flops, and most original films failed to make much impact (remember โ€œRed Notice,โ€ anyone?)

Visit Paramount+ and youโ€™ll not only see recent hits like โ€œScream 6โ€ and โ€œTop Gun: Maverick,โ€ but library titles as varied as โ€œSunset Boulevard,โ€ โ€œHis Girl Friday,โ€ โ€œBeverly Hills Cop,โ€ โ€œAlmost Famous,โ€ โ€œFatal Attraction,โ€ โ€œThe Piano,โ€ โ€œHeavenโ€™s Gate,โ€ โ€œRoman Holiday,โ€ โ€œIn the Heat of the Night,โ€ โ€œTitanic,โ€ the complete โ€œIndiana Jonesโ€ franchise, all the โ€œMission: Impossibleโ€ movies and every โ€œStar Trekโ€ movie.
