Paramount announced Monday that it has set a release date for its upcoming Tom Clancy adaptation “Without Remorse.” The thriller, which stars Michael B. Jordan as Clancy fan favorite John Clark, will be released September 18, 2020.
John Clark, who is the head of Rainbow Six, was regarded by Clancy as the “dark side” of his protagonist, Jack Ryan. Jordan will be the third actor to play the character, joining Willem Dafoe in the 1994 adaptation of “Clear and Present Danger” and Liev Schreiber in the 2002 film “The Sum of All Fears.”
Jordan will also produce with Akiva Goldsman, and Stefano Sollima (“Sicario: Day of the Soldado”) is in talks to direct. “Without Remorse” joins a 2020 slate for Paramount that includes sequels to the studio’s hit 2018 release “A Quiet Place” and the Tom Cruise classic “Top Gun.”
