“Legion” has found a new Shadow King.
Saïd Taghmaoui is joining the FX drama’s cast for Season 2 as the dangerous character, also known as Amahl Farouk. Series creator Noah Hawley announced the news during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday.
Aubrey Plaza played a version of the Shadow King in Season 1. The character died in the premiere episode but showed up later in the mind of lead David Haller (Dan Stevens).
Taghmaoui is perhaps best known for playing a friend and ally of Diana, Sameer, in this summer’s smash hit “Wonder Woman.” He has had recurring roles on such TV series as “The Missing,” “Touch” and “Lost.”
The actor is repped by APA, Three Six Zero Group and Markham, Frogatt and Irwin.
