Overture Lets ‘Right One’ Remake Out Oct. 1

“Let Me In,” directed by “Cloverfield’s” Matt Reeves, reworks hit Danish vampire film

Overture Films has set Oct. 1 as the release date for "Let Me In," from "Cloverfield" director Matt Reeves. Now shooting in New Mexico, the film stars Kodi Smit-McPhee ("The Road"), Chloe Moretz ("Kick-Ass") and Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins ("The Visitor").

Reeves adapted the screenplay from Danish vampire cult hit "Let the Right One In," directed by Tomas Alfredson. Both are based on the Swedish novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist.

"Let" tells the story of a young boy who befriends the kid next door — who turns out to be a vampire.

Producers are Donna Gigliotti, Simon Oakes, Nigel Sinclair, Guy East, John Nordling and Carl Molinder. Executive producers are Alex Brunner, Tobin Armbrust, John Ptak, Philip Elway, Fredrik Malmberg and Vicki Dee Rock.
