Can Donald Trump’s leadership possibly get any worse? In Stephen Colbert’s “Our Cartoon President,” it can and it does.
The 10-episode animated Showtime series “follows the true-ish misadventures of the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, and his merry band of advisors and family members,” per the premium-TV channel’s official description.
In the parallel cartoon universe, the Commander-in-Chief opens the White House doors for an “all access” look at a typical day in the life of the POTUS, it continued. These are not very productive D.C. days, according to the trailer, which you can watch above.
“Our Cartoon President” is executive produced by Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht and showrunner R.J. Fried. Tim Luecke is lead animator and co-executive producer. Matt Lappin will serve as consulting producer.
The show is produced by CBS Television Studios.
“Our Cartoon President” debuts Sunday, Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. on Showtime, though Episode 1 will be watchable online and on-demand starting Sunday, Jan. 28 — ahead of real Trump’s State of the Union address.
