Netflix has unveiled new photos from the fourth season of “Orange is the New Black,” revealing new characters, plot points and a lot more unanswered questions.
Something is going on between Piper (Taylor Schilling) and Bianca (Laura Gomez), while Sophia (Laverne Cox) still remains in solitary after she getting attacked by the entire kitchen staff to end season 3.
But the most shocking photo from the upcoming season is one in which Laura Prepon‘s character, Alex, is very much alive. In last season’s finale, Alex’s fate became a mystery when a hitman dressed as a correctional officer cornered her in the shed.
The inmates of Litchfield got new bunk beds after the perimeter fence came down and the women ran down to the lake, enjoying their temporary freedom and each other’s company outside the confines of the prison. And we finally get a sneak peek at Martha Stewart-esque character Judy King, played by Blair Brown.
In February, the show was renewed for three more seasons. Creator Jenji Kohan will continue serving as showrunner for Seasons 5, 6 and 7.
“Orange is the New Black” returns to Netflix on June 17.
