Oprah Winfrey has a secret — to big ratings.
The talk show queen's much-hyped revelation Monday that she has a half-sister earned a 9.7 household rating and a 22 share in metered markets. Winfrey had promised before the show to reveal a "bombshell family secret."
It was her highest-rated episode since Winfey’s after-Oscars broadcast on February 28, 2005, when she scored a 10.8/23.
