Mark Burnett has signed a deal to produce a daily talk show for Oprah's upcoming TV channel, TheWrap has confirmed. Burnett's show will feature a panel of hosts like ABC's long-running chatfest "The View."
The Burnett talk show isn't the only new entrant moving into the daytime talk landscape. CBS is premiering a similarly formatted conversation of its own this fall, aptly titled, "The Talk."
Burnett is also producing a reality competition for OWN — "Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star." His talk show for the Oprah Winfrey Network is set debut when the network launches in January 2011.
The Burnett show news was first reported Tuesday in the New York Post.
