Yahoo and The Weinstein Company are extending the previous 10-day pre-theatrical release of film “One Chance” on Yahoo Screen through Nov. 9.
“One Chance” tells the true story of Paul Potts, a shy, bullied shop assistant by day and an amateur opera singer by night. Potts became a YouTube phenomenon and won “Britain’s Got Talent.”
BAFTA winner James Corden (“The History Boys”) — who will be taking over CBS’s “The Late, Late Show” from Craig Ferguson — stars as Potts. Film also features Julie Walters (“Mamma Mia!”), Mackenzie Crook (“The Pirates of the Caribbean”), Colm Meaney (“Get Him to the Greek”), Jemima Rooper (“Kinky Boots”), Valeria Billelo (“Pazze Di Me”) and Alexandra Roach (“The Iron Lady”).

“Our fans love the movie and the unique opportunity to experience it online through Yahoo,” said Harvey Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company. “After watching the film on Yahoo myself, I see how Yahoo was able to build such an engaged audience for the film. We’re thrilled with the incredible job Yahoo did in marketing the movie.”
The film opened in theaters nationwide Friday.
