Netflix’s “On My Block” is returning for Season 3 next month, and this time the four friends have a secret mission — to find Little Ricky, who is, apparently, still alive.
The series is co-created by “Awkward” writer and creator Lauren Iungerich with Jeremy Haft and Eddie Gonzalez. It stars Diego Tinoco as “Cesar Diaz,” Sierra Capri as “Monse Finnie,” Jason Genao as “Ruby Martinez” and Brett Gray as “Jamal Turner” as a group of streetwise teens navigating both the everyday drama of entering high school and the very real dangers of life in inner-city Los Angeles. Other stars include Jessica Marie Garcia as “Jasmine” and Julio Macias as “Oscar.”
Netflix described the new eight-episode season like this: “They thought life was about to return to what passes for normal in Freeridge, but the stakes just got even higher.”
“On My Block” topped the list of Netlix’s most binged-shows of 2018, the year it premiered. According to the streamer’s data, of all the Netflix originals released between Jan. 1 and Nov. 28, “On My Block” had the highest watch-time-per-viewing session. The list doesn’t necessarily reflect Netflix’s most popular series, rather the ones that enticed viewers to watch the most episodes in a single sitting.
Season 3 of “On My Block” premieres March 11 on Netflix.
