The folks at "The Office" are going to put in some overtime on their last day of work.
NBC will air an hour-long retrospective special prior to the May 16 series finale of the show, the network said Friday. Produced by NBC News, the retrospective — billed as "an emotional farewell" to the show's characters — will include interviews with the series' cast members, writers and producers, as well as the actors' auditions for the series, which is wrapping up after nine seasons.

Series stars/writers/co-executive producers B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling also will deliver a behind-the-scenes look at the "Office" writers' room, along with executive producer/cast member Paul Lieberstein.
A segment on the "Office" fan day — which is being held May 4 in Scranton, Penn., which serves as the setting for the show — will also be included.
The "Office" retrospective will air at 8 p.m. on May 16, immediately prior to the series' hour-long finale.
