Exclusive: Charlie Sheen New York Case Still Open

Actor returns to New York this weekend for live tour

While Charlie Sheen is in New York City this weekend, he may want to behave: Police are still investigating his October meltdown in a hotel room with a porn star.

Despite reports in December that the actor had been cleared in the case, NYPD Det. Brian Sessa told TheWrap on Friday — as he did three months ago — that the case is still open. He said reports that the case is closed were wrong.

"The investigation is still ongoing," Sessa said.

Not that Sheen is in any danger of a run-in with police when he arrives for his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" shows Friday through Sunday at Radio City Music Hall. No charges have been filed against him.

Asked about Sheen's arrival in New York on Thursday, police Commissioner Raymond Kelly joked, "We have a big police force, we're ready for him," according to the New York Daily News.

Radio City Music Hall is just a few blocks from the Plaza Hotel, scene of Sheen's debaucherous night with porn star Capri Anderson, whose real name is Christina Walsh. Walsh gave a statement to police in November, and said at the time that she planned to sue the actor.

She has not.

Walsh said in an ABC News interview that she went with Sheen to dinner and then to the hotel, where she alleges he snorted a white powder, kissed her, lifted her skirt, and backed her onto a bed. He then put his hands around her neck, she said. Walsh said she tried to flee and hid in a bathroom, and that Sheen tore open her purse. Police reportedly found the room trashed.

Sheen has sued Walsh, claiming she tried to extort him for at least $1 million. "At no time did Sheen assault, batter or threaten Walsh,” the suit says.

Sheen has also said he believes Walsh tried to steal a $165,000 watch from him.
