The first clip from Darren Aronofsky‘s Biblical epic, “Noah,” arrived this week, and it gives a peek at Russell Crowe breaking the news to his family that he’s going to put them to work building a giant boat “to save the innocent.”
“Our family has been chosen for a great task: To save the innocent, the animals,” Crowe’s Noah tells wife, Jennifer Connelly, and young children in the scene (above). “We need to save enough of them to start again.”

“We get to start again in a new and better world, but first, we have to build,” Crowe continues. “A great flood is coming. The waters of the heavens will meet the waters of the earths. We build a vessel to survive the storm. We build an arc.”
So next time your dad asks you to mow the lawn or take out the trash, remember, you don’t have it as bad as Noah’s kids.
Paramount is releasing the drama co-starring Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Anthony Hopkins, Douglas Booth and Ray Winstone on March 28.
