Nicolas Cage has denied abuse accusations by ex-girlfriend Vickie Park, calling them “absurd.”
“Nicolas and Alice Cage categorically deny the absurd allegations listed in the filing of a temporary restraining order against Alice Cage, which was denied by the court,” a rep for Cage told TheWrap in a statement.
In legal documents obtained by TheWrap, Park accuses Cage, who was “severely intoxicated at the time,” of abusing her at the Slash Film Festival in Vienna, Austria on Sept. 20, 2018. Park said she has been dating Cage on and off since June 2017, according to the documents. “I am already aware his alcohol addiction, depression and mental illness as his mother is also currently still facilitated in mental ward,” Park said in her petition.
Park is seeking a restraining order against the actor’s estranged wife Alice Kim. Park accused Kim of harassing and stalking her on social media, adding in the petition that she is scared to leave her home.
There will be a hearing later this month to address the accusations by Park, although a judge initially dismissed Park’s request for a restraining order.
Nicolas and Alice Cage separated in January of 2016 and have yet to file for divorce. They married in 2004 and have a son Kal-El Coppola Cage, 13.
The Blast first reported on Park’s petition.
