Nominations for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards came out on Tuesday, and before the nation could drowse fully to sleep over the news, Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to blast the network, “white media” and skinny people for the exclusion of her oeuvre “Anaconda” from the nominees in the Video of the Year category.
Minaj tweeted into the void nearly all day before Taylor Swift swooped in to call her on her slim-shaming tirade in either a masterful stroke of marketing genius or stunning display of flame-war ignorance … that still resulted in marketing genius.
