How many men can say they’ve been immortalized in song by rapper Nicki Minaj? OK, well Drake, 50 Cent, Eminem and DJ Khaled and Meek Mill — and Stephen Colbert. Yes, as of Monday night, the “Late Show” host has been added — albeit temporarily — to Minaj’s diss track “Barbie Dreams” with his very own raunchy lyric.
And the scandalous bar was just naughty enough to turn the late-night host as pink as the index card he happened to be holding.
Minaj stopped by the show to promote her new album “Queen” — a record filled with digs at her friends and enemies. The compilation includes the song in which, as Colbert put it, the artist lists all the men that “as the kids say” wouldn’t be able to “get with” her.
He then lists many of them, adding “but I noticed I’m not on the list of men. It’s pretty comprehensive. It’s a pretty comprehensive list, and I’m just curious if I were to make the list, how would you inform me?”
“I would say, ‘I might f— Stephen after the show/He gonna come back to work with a magical glow,’” Minaj raps, causing Colbert to bury his face in his hands.
“Are we still broadcasting?!?” Colbert says, totally shook. “I wasn’t – I wasn’t done, Stephen!” Minaj added, continuing with the final bars, “‘But when you see us, please don’t f—ing stare/Just address me as Queen Nicki Colbert.”
