A new LEGO Jurassic World animated miniseries has landed at Nickelodeon.
The network has set a Sept. 14 premiere date for “LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar,” along with a teaser video that features “Jurassic World” characters Claire and Owen (played by Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt in the movie, though voiced by different actors in the Nickelodeon series) bantering back and forth as they give a tour of the dinosaur-inhabited park to a skeptical theme-park reviewer. You can watch the clip above.
The 13-episode CG-animated miniseries takes place in 2012, three years before the events of the 2015 “Jurassic World” movie.
According to Nickelodeon, “Newly hired animal behaviourist, Owen Grady, and Assistant Manager of Park Operations, Claire Dearing, team up on Isla Nublar to deal with everything the Jurassic World park throws their way, including runaway dinosaurs, ongoing construction to expand the park, throngs of tourists, unpredictable tropical weather and an impulsive boss! In ‘LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar,’ there’s also a mysterious saboteur with surprising ties to the park’s past who is on a quest to find a legendary treasure and destroy Jurassic World forever. What could possibly go wrong? Well… everything.”
A sneak peek episode called “Mission Critical” will be available on the Nick App and VOD beginning Sunday, Aug. 25, along with parts one and two of the prequel to the new miniseries, “LEGO Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit.”
“LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar” is a result of a partnership between Nickelodeon, LEGO and Universal Brand Development. LEGO building sets inspired by “LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar” are currently available at retail globally.
“LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar” premieres Sept. 14 at 11:30 a.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon.
