Nick Cannon is heading to late night.
Cannon and “Talking Dead” executive producer Michael Davies are teaming up with Fox to develop a weekly topical late-night series featuring stand-up comedians, celebrity interviews and musical performances, TheWrap has learned.
Cannon and Michael Goldman would also executive produce the show under NCredible Entertainment. As an extension of the show, Cannon, Davies and Fox’s digital team will curate segments for online that will be distributed via social media.
The show is part of a pre-existing overall development deal Cannon has signed with Fox.
Cannon will host the network’s upcoming competition series “The Masked Singer,” which features celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: each singer is shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, complete with full face mask to conceal his or her identity.
The series is set to air in January 2019, and will feature Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke on the show’s panel, alongside Cannon.
Cannon most recently hosted the Teen Choice Awards, which aired on Fox in August. He is repped by Michael Goldman.
