The National Hockey League and the NBC Sports Group are expected to announce today that they have renewed their TV rights deal.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and NBC Sports Group chairman Dick Ebersol will make the announcement at 1 p.m. ET.
NBCUniversal outbid ESPN, among others, for the right to broadcast games on NBC and Versus.
Sports Business Journal reported that bidding for the rights went above $200 million a year.
