Michael Pelmont, a talent manager at New Wave Entertainment for the past three years, has been promoted to head of scripted development and packaging, the company announced Wednesday.
Pelmont is a former Wall Street trader who worked in the ICM mailroom while attending UCLA law school.
He joined New Wave three years ago from APA.
At New Wave — a marketing, design, production and management company — he has developed or produced 20 scripted pilots and series. He's now in production on a sketch comedy series for VH1 and a pilot with Warner Bros.
Literary managers Josh Adler and Mike Goldberg joined New Wave from ROAR in May.
