A new “Muppets Most Wanted” preview that Disney unveiled on Thursday should bring a smile to any fan of Jim Henson’s cloth creations.
The trailer (above) is a musical number with a simple message: “We’re doing a sequel!”

The catchy song and dance routine — featuring favorites including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, and of course Statler and Waldorf — takes place immediately after the ending of the hit 2011 “Muppets” movie that relaunched the franchise.
“We’re doing a sequel, there’s no need to disguise. The studio considers a viable franchise,” the gang sings. “We’re doing a sequel, the studio wants more. while they wait for Tom Hanks to make ‘Toy Story 4’.”
“Muppets Most Wanted,” directed by the first film’s James Bobin, stars Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell.
It hits theaters on March 21.
