New ‘Cinderella’ Trailer Proves Love Conquers Snobs (Video)

The live-action remake of the Disney classic stars Lily James and Cate Blanchett

A new trailer for the live-action version of Disney’s “Cinderella” was released on Wednesday.

In this latest trailer, we get a longer look at Helena Bonham-Carter as the Fairy Godmother, who transforms a pumpkin into Cinderella’s (Lily James) carriage and warns her that the magic will only last until midnight.

We also learn more about Prince Charming, played by “Game of Thrones” alum Richard Madden. The two first meet in a secluded forest grove, where the prince and his men are hunting a stag that Cinderella is determined to protect. The prince cannot get the enchanting Cinderella out of his mind, even though his marriage has already been arranged by his father, the King (Derek Jacobi).

Disney announced on Tuesday that the film will be released in IMAX theaters as well as on traditional screens.

Academy award nominee Kenneth Branagh directed the Chris Weitz script. Simon Kinberg produced, along with Allison Shearmur and David Barron. Tim Lewis served as executive producer.

“Cinderella” opens in theaters on March 13, 2015.
