As Netflix prepares its re-imagined version of “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” the streamer ordered a sitcom starring the original Sabrina Spellman.
Netflix has picked up multi-camera comedy, “No Good Nick” for 20 episodes starring Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin.
Hart and Astin play married couple Liz and Ed, who unwittingly welcome 13-year-old Nick (short for Nicole), played by Siena Agudong, into their family of four before realizing she is a street-smart con artist with a secret agenda. The series is created and executive produced by David H. Steinberg and Keetgi Kogan.
The series is directed by Andy Fickman and produced by Netflix. It is the second multi-camera comedy series produced by Netflix, along with “The Ranch.” The cast also includes Kalama Epstein and Lauren Lindsey Donzis.
Hart starred for years on ABC’s “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” which ran from 1996-2000 on ABC, and then another three seasons on The WB. Next month, Netflix debuts its new take on the character, with “Man Men’s” Karen Shipka taking on the title role, though this series, called “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” is a much more serious, horrific take on the character.
