Neil Young’s Music Returns to Spotify After Joe Rogan Expands to Other Streamers

“I cannot just leave Apple and Amazon, like I did Spotify, because my music would have very little streaming outlet to music lovers at all,” the musician writes

Citing the non-exclusivity deal that made far right comedian Joe Rogan’s “disinformation podcast features” available on Apple and Amazon, Neil Young announced Wednesday that he is ending his boycott of Spotify and his music will be available on the service once again.

“I cannot just leave Apple and Amazon, like I did Spotify, because my music would have very little streaming outlet to music lovers at all,” Young explained in a statement posted to his website. “So I have returned to Spotify, in sincere hopes that Spotify sound quality will improve and people will be able to hear and feel all the music as we made it.”
