NBC and “The Voice” topped Tuesday outright, thanks in large part to CBS airing reruns of its prized “NCIS” shows.
The Les Moonves-led broadcast network ran only one original last night: Part 2 of its “Limitless” season finale. That show shed 100,000 total viewers from last week’s Part 1.
Elsewhere, ABC and the CW held Fox down in a fifth place key demo tie with Univision. Fox actually finished sixth in total viewers, behind the No. 1 Spanish-language net.
NBC was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 9.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. scored a 1.9/7 and 9.9 million viewers. “Chicago Med” at 9 earned a 1.8/6 and 9 million viewers. “Chicago Fire” at 10 landed a 1.7/6 and 8.3 million viewers.
CBS was second in ratings with a 1.2/4 and in viewers with 8.1 million. Following repeats, “Limitless” received a 1.1/4 and 5.7 million viewers.
ABC and the CW tied for third in ratings, both with a 0.9/3. ABC was third in total viewers with 3.1 million, CW was fourth with 2.5 million.
Fox ABC, “Fresh Off the Boat” at 8 had a 1.3/5 and 4.7 million viewers. “The Real O’Neals” at 8:30 got a 1.0/3 and 3.5 million viewers. At 9, “Agents of Shield” received a 1.0/3 and 3.3 million viewers. “Beyond the Tank” at 10 mustered a 0.5/2 and 2.1 million viewers.
For CW, “The Flash” at 8 posted a 1.3/5 and 3.4 million viewers. At 9, “Containment” managed a 0.6/2 and 1.7 million viewers.
Univision and Fox tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.8/3. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 2.04 million, Fox was sixth with 2.02 million viewers.
For Fox, “New Girl” at 8 had a 1.0/4 and 2.5 million viewers. At 8:30, “Grandfather” got a 0.6/2 and 1.9 million viewers. Another “New Girl” at 9 received a 0.8/3 and 2 million viewers. A rerun followed.
Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.5 million.
